The theme of our messages of late have been moving forward in our lives and making progress toward God’s purpose and plan for our lives. In our last message we spoke of the Holy Spirit being a guide for our lives and power He can bring to us. Today I want to look at the power of the word of God and specifically the importance of what we know as the bible as being the basis of how God illuminates our lives.

There are many directions you can go when speaking about the Word of God. We can exclaim Christ to be the Word of God and explain how the whole of what we know as the bible has as its highest purpose the revealing of Jesus to a lost world. We can exclaim how the Bible is alive and as a result one verse of scripture can speak many different things to groups of people and to an individual heart. We could expound on how the Word of God is not historic but still speaks relevance today. We could expound on how it is through the Word of God we discover His will for our lives. We could go on and on with many approaches to this topic. For today though I want to hone in on two specific aspects and benefits of Gods Word after we have come to know God through Christ and the Spirit!
