We are given the lives we have by God. Our physical attributes, mental potential, natural skills and abilities, culture, heritage, and social birth status are all beyond our control. I have challenged us to learn to embrace our individuality and not live our lives wishing and desiring to be someone other than who we are. Always wanting to be someone else wastes our lives and abilities and we never fulfill our purpose. As a result we live from a position of excess rather than strength.

A position of excess gets what you can for the moment, no matter whether or not you have the ability to possess a particular position or not we live in waste, want, lust and covetousness.  This is a main reason the bible warns of wealth gained not earned, and warns of leadership positions given to novices.

Though the thoughts above are facts and many things about ourselves we can’t change and we must learn the element of contentment, we still must maximize the potential for our lives. It is interesting so many of us never truly reach our potential in life naturally and spiritually. We must take steps in our lives that would maximize the potential in our lives.

Educational and training opportunities

Exercise and sports participation

Exposure to Arts, literature, diverse cultures and travel etc…

Experiences… food, adventures, events, and entertainment

We do this by seeking after and seizing the opportunities placed in front of us…

Spiritual Training and Growth!

In my opinion the most important area of growth for our lives is spiritual growth. For so long we have only gone to church or practiced religion from the aspect of excess and immaturity. We fight and struggle amongst ourselves and rather than truly growing we spend the most of our lives in spiritual immaturity and vulnerability.
